Your security is our primary concern. Each customer has a private space on the truck that is seperated by wooden dividers. The driver that picks up your shipment is the driver that delivers it so there is accountability throughout the process. You can put your lock on the truck, but the driver will need a key in case of emergency.

I am moving from Escondido, CA to Orlando Fl, how do I weigh my furniture and boxes to be loaded on your truck. One of the best things about Movex is that we do not charge by the weight of the shipment. We charge by the foot. The trucks are 8ft wide and 9ft tall. You can get anywhere from 4ft to 53ft of space with those dimensions. Each customer gets a private area on the truck separated by plywood bulkheads.

I live in a highrise apartment in downtown Chicago. I am assuming there are regulations on the size of truck that can enter the city. In which case, what size trucks do you send? Can you send smaller trucks (non-semis) for your city-dwelling customers to load?

Downtown Chicago highrise apartments are a no-go for us. The trucks are 53' long and cannot maneuver in the streets of downtown Chicago. You would need to shuttle the shipment out to a location on the edge of the city to our road tractor. Depending on where you are moving, this may or may not be the best option for you.

The industry term for those is "Decking Bars". We generally have some on the trailers, but we do no offer those as a guaranteed part of the service. We have found that decking has a tendency to fall or shift causing more damage than it is worth.
